PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform physical work in all conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Must be able to stand or be on his/her feet for long periods of time on hard surfaces. Will be required to perform continuous and repetitive motion, including: lifting, pushing and pulling product and/or objects, as well as bending, twisting and reaching with the torso and ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel along with reaching with hands and arms. The product or objects may weigh in excess of sixty pounds. May work in either hot areas or refrigerated areas for long periods of time. Plant environment will include wet, damp, cold, slippery and loud conditions with moving parts and vibrating parts. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud when in the production and powerhouse.

The purpose of Utility Refrigeration Technician is to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventive maintenance and install equipment within and around the facility to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production.
