Cherokee Regional Medical Center is looking for a Marketing Manager.  This position coordinates and organizes marketing, communications, and public relations activities for the organization. Various responsibilities include external and internal advertising campaigns, fundraising efforts, campaign management, creating advertisements, social media administration, writing articles, planning internal and external events, etc. Will work closely with management, providers, and staff to create marketing materials that are effective for target audiences. 

 

Desired Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or similar field.

Experience:

  • Experience in marketing, public relations, fundraising, or community development.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required. 
  • Computer skills necessary in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Knowledge of online, digital and social media marketing (including SEO/SEM, Wordpress, GoogleAds, Facebook Ads, etc.)
  • Some photography and videography (and editing) experience is necessary. 
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects. 
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Strong project management skills needed.

Duties:
  • Works with administration to develop and implement goals and strategies necessary to increase public awareness of all Cherokee Regional programs and services. 
  • Collaborates with clinical leaders and providers to establish marketing priorities and objectives to promote various departments and services. 
  • Coordinates and organizes advertising campaigns including print advertising, social media, mailings, newsletters, brochures, postcards, etc. 
  • Manages planning, layout, production, and distribution of internal and external marketing such as newsletters, press releases, feature stories and testimonials, informational brochures, etc.
  • Develops strategies to promote the entire organization through sponsored programs such as patient and community education programs, facility tours, public speaking and related programs.
  • Develops and manages content on the organization’s website and social media sites by creating content, photos, videos, and other posts that promote programs and services.  Ensures that the information is accurate and timely. 
  • Tracks, measures and analyzes all initiatives to report on digital and social media return on investment.
  • Represents the organization to various community groups to ensure that the organization is represented at community events and activities. Facilitates educational programs such as lunch and learns, etc. 
  • Fields inquiries from members of the media; directing them to the appropriate person(s) and providing them with necessary information.
  • Works with administration to evaluate sponsorship requests received from the community that align with our mission, vision, and values. 
  • Plans and orders promotional products for events, fairs, parades and other community events, as well as department giveaways (ie, gifts for mammogram patients).
  • Works with vendor(s) for quarterly organization-wide online clothing stores, promotes website ordering, and distributes accordingly.
  • Coordinates various organization events such as meet and greets for new providers, hospital week activities, employee engagement initiatives, anniversary celebrations, staff recognition activities, etc. 
  • Assists with Public Relations and Cherokee Regional Foundation responsibilities as directed by the VP of Development and Support Services.
  • Creates and maintains an overall marketing strategy and budget for the organization.
  • Plans, organizes and prioritizes work to meet marketing goals and objectives of Cherokee Regional Medical Center and all of its departments, while staying within the marketing budgets of each department.
