Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

1. Three years of full-time work experience in two or more of the recognized building and mechanical trades (carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning, machinist, machine repair, masonry, painting, pipefitting, plumbing, refrigeration, and welding).
2. Three years of a combination of experience (as described in number one) and education, where thirty semester hours of post high school education in an accredited building or mechanical vocational program equals one year of experience.
3. Current and continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes two years of full-time work as a Trades Helper.

Job duties for this position include assisting with renovation and repair work, grounds work including mowing and snow removal, assisting with Storeroom needs and preventative maintenance throughout the Hospital. Experience operating commercial mowers and snow removal equipment is a plus, but training is available for the right candidate. The Maintenance Repairer will work closely with many trades and will be expected to learn a variety of tasks.

This position works 10-hour shifts Tuesday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30PM.
