The Hy-Vee Distriburtion Warehouse is looking for a Human Resources Talent Manager who is bilingual.  The general functions of the job are to coordinate a variety of administrative duties including facilitating, recruiting, hiring, job requisitions, and career fairs. Works closely with Senior Management to ensure maximum employee satisfaction and employee retention. Assists in overall daily Human Resources operations including tracking new employee reviews, onboarding and employee communications. Assists with all HR DOT requirements. Acts as liaison to employees. Proficient in using Kronos for time management/HR information files with all aspects of HRIS software and acts as a payroll backup.

Desired Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Bilingual with High School or equivalent experience, plus 2-3 years of other schooling (HR and Accounting) and Hy-Vee experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience. Computer knowledge in the following programs are helpful: Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Publisher, Kronos time management and Workday HRIS.

  • Must be able to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have the ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Must have the ability to make appointments and process mail; compose original correspondence and write form letters; interpret written work instructions; follow technical manuals; interview to obtain basic and job performance information; counsel or advise people; and have increased contact with people.

Duties:
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for company onboarding process including; scheduling, interviewing, job offer, job sourcing in communities and other related tasks.
  • Completing pre-employment paperwork after job offer.
  • Collection of pre-employment drug testing and post-accident testing.
  • Coordinates scheduling of pre-employment tests with outside vendors.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining new employee orientation; developing and maintaining all onboarding documents including employee communications.
  • Responds promptly and friendly to questions and issues from employees acts as a liaison.
  • Assists for random selection of DOT drug and alcohol screens and all other DOT requirements including physical, drug, and alcohol testing.
  • Assists with workers compensation and reporting.
  • Assists with Hy-Vee grants such as 260E.
  • Conducts HR information searches and compiles reports from information obtained.
  • HR projects and mentor HR employees.
  • Adheres to company policies.
  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists all HR Clerks as back-up duties when needed
  • Assists with Quarterly Meetings
  • Payroll back-up
  • Conducts tours for schools and other civic organization.
  • Orders Supplies for office and departments.
  • Assist with tours of Distribution Center as needed.
  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
  • Represents the company in a positive manner.
